Just lost a WU!

Featured Replies

Something in my new wireless & talk setup is not allowing the sending of WUs... :grumpy: Just checked my logs and had one at 100%... and the log showed numerous attempts to send the data, it failing, and when I tried to configure it, it started again from zero.... First one I've ever lost. :(

So, with this new wireless setup, how SHOULD I have my PC configured? Its set to use Internet Explorer settings, and as you can see I can happily browse the web.... I have a WEP encrypted wireless box downstairs, and a Belkin USB wireless dongle up here talking to it. Why suddenly am I not able to get it to send work units back to FAH! :( :thumbdwn:

Can someone help me please, before my next WU finishes on this computer? :)

funny you should talk about this actually devon, coz just recently i've had been looking closer into a couple of the machines i set the console as service on and they too have been having problems sending off results...looked at one of thems log and it took me re-booting the system for it to send the completed wu off (it had been trying 42 times)

If this is happening generally maybe, its not just a fault at our end (so to speak)

Hmmm. Might reboot this PC to be sure. :) I know the LAN connection in the taskbar now has a red X through it, but everything else: email/net/FTP is working fine through the Belkin. And it downloaded a WU fine.

Most odd.
