Above response from Maxol today stating that their unleaded is 98 octane. As the usual BP and some Texaco garages in County Down are 97 octane, this seems to be good news. Maxol garage at top of hill from Newtownards towards Donaghadee sells this.

 

Very odd that they have BP with 98 Octane Minimum while others BP Super Unleaded is 97 Ron Minimum.

What does it show on their Pumps?

BP in Northern Ireland show 97. Maxol although confirmed as 98 doesn't show any grade.

On the mainland UK as well as Tesco Momentum 99 or Shell V-Power Nitro + there is a Discount Fuel Retailer that sells 99 Ron Super Unleaded.

No sellers of 98 Octane in Filling stations that i know of.
