Signed on the dotted line for 2nd hand Octavia on a 63 plate. I noticed that the warning triangle in the boot was missing. I forgot to mention it to the salesman at the time of signing but when I got home I remembered (I'm due to pick up the car Friday). I rang the dealership and apologised saying I forgot to mention that the warning triangle was missing. The gentlemen I spoke to (another member of staff, not my salesman) said that they're not supplied with Skodas, there's just a place to stow them of you happen to have one. Is this true? I currently have a 56 plate BMW 320i and it has a warning triangle in the boot.

It's true. They don't come with them. 

Thanks for letting me know. I'm a tad cynical about dealers. During the purchase the salesman said it had a camchain engine, I know from these forums that it's actually a belt but I didn't bother correcting him.

Is this the same with the high vis jacket under my drivers seat I'm suppose to have according to the brochure? Didn't know about this till a few weeks ago so can't exactly call them now asking for one!?

Warning triangles, first aid kits and high vis jackets are not a legal requirement in the UK... so are not supplied with the car.
