Hi everyone

After 3 yrs driving so called "premium" German brands, I'm now looking forward to taking delivery of a new vRS Octavia from Simpsons in Preston. Not sure when it will arrive, but if it's anything like my previous (HG57 ACO anyone??), then I will look forward to at least 3 years driving the best all rounder I've ever owned, again.

We also have a Skoda Fabia Reaction, the slowest car I've ever driven, with the best sounding engine!

Great website, looking forward to the thumbs up and waves I used to get in the old days around the Wigan area!

I was Superb170, I just don't see the increase in cost match the benefits gained. Can't wait for the new car to arrive, genuinely looking forward to it.

Recirculating Button not working

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? I was looking on autodoc to try and order some nuts as I didn't know how often they

What it says on the tin, really; recently my oil warning light came on, flashed a few times, made a really loud intermittent beeping sound, and then turned off again. This happened several times during a journey, but actually stopped after a little while. I checked the oil level, and its fine, so I reckon it's an issue with the oil pressure sensor/switch (I did get an OBD tool, but that came up as no error codes, so I'm really in the dark here). Hi wonder if anyone on here can confirm I have the right part number for front springs. PR code in boot is 2UA/L07 and from LLLparts diagrams I get 1K0411105AQ. No paint marks on broken one plus looks like 1x pink,1xorange,1xblue on good one. LLL parts say also marked with 1 x grey and 4x blue which I don't have unless they mean pink,orange,blue or grey blue blue blue blue? Again seems to be quite a few to choose from. Any help welcome Alasdair
