Coked up!!!

Featured Replies

Further to my earlier thread the dealer has said that the fan like noise at certain revs is a wheel bearing........Ok thats fine...... but diagnostics has thrown up the fact that I'm coking up. Bearing in mind that Ive covered 25,000 miles in 6 months and have an average mpg of 35 and no noticable drop in horses, is their any opinions on this out there in Skodaville?

As an aside i'm driving an agreeable Mazda 62.0 TS2 as a rental car while mine enters a second week at the dealers. When I was picking my latest company car i got down to between the Octy and the Mazda. So here are my ramblings.

Driving experience- Mazda a bit more sporty and a firmer ride for cross country sprints, Octy a bit more refined, more engine noise from Mazda but Octy a tad more rapid.

Octy better mpg by far, Mazda has typical Ford type petrol gauge, Ie Full then empty nothing in between.

Octy has definatley the better cabin for comfort although the Mazda has the better stereo by far.

Verdict Octy by a short head was the right choice!!!!

2.0FSI Elegence Corrido Red ESP Maxidot and light Thingy

I have just changed from a Mazda 6 ts 134turbo diesel to a Octy2 PDTDI !

Much prefer my Octy in 2500 miles and I had the mazda for over 100K!

You made the right choice!

But you are right the Mazda stereo is far better!!! I even have the Satnav in mine now which is pretty pants sound wise!
