lol-lol aka not Darren Brown,

you still do not know i take it what tariff deal will happen between the EU & the UK and RoW.  Has David Davis MP not been asking for your assistance?

Not only do Engines and Electrical parts come in as now from Continental Europe the likes of Engines for Honda's come in from the US of A.

Many things will go around and around and maybe some will come to the UK from EU countries like Poland & Hungary which will be telling the EU up yours Sir / Madam.

Time will tell but if you think you know the future then best bet you pension on it and see how you get on.

I have read enough Free Trade Agreements of the EU and managed enough customs regimes to know how the economics work out.

Would always suggest that one diversifies ones pensions across several pots for robustness.  I would think that Spain will be one of the biggest winners of the forth-coming changes.  They already make a mot more cars than the UK, despite its lower population, and the have quite low wages and they will be still in the EU.   Turkey, part of the EU customs union, if it can stay politically stable-ish, but also those eastern EU countries too to supply the half billion people from inside the market.  As I said before, even if the UK gets a Free Trade Agreement, which is very questionable, there will be customs formalities with all the admin and costs that brings with it.

We know, we also know you do not know what is coming, just making educated or random guesses.

Choice between a rock and a hard brexit. Cannot say any of them fill me with confidence they have grasped the EU legal process.  Another election in October is my hope.

The original statement from JLR was that the Slovakian plant was to build the Defender but it now seems that it could be other Land Rovers as well.

These are the fall-outs of BREXIT.

JLR is investing in the UK as we can see here in the Midlands most notably the new engine plant on the M54 near Wolverhampton.

Gave up the Jag S type last year (lots of Ford bits in that car)  but as to the XE and XF, bit too bland for my palette.  Kids want me to buy a Disco but not really me.  Now an F Type, that is more like it.   Maybe if they have trouble selling them after BREXIT there might be some good deals.
