I've had a search, and this question has come up before but with no real resolution or answer.

 

I need to replace the ARB bushes on my 3 cylinder 1.2 . 

 

Does anyone know what size I need? I can mic the bar and check the actual diameter but not entirely sure that will help with the answer.

 

I'm considering some PU bushes. Has anyone else fitted them, and are they worthwhile? I always used to fit them whenever I had to change bushes, but that was back in the Nova days, where PU bushes actually made a huge difference to handling. It looks like I can get a pair of rubber bushes for £4.50, or PU for about £14. Is it worth the extra?

 

I always used to use Powerflex, but they seem expensive. Has anyone used "StrongFlex" bushes and have any feedback about them?

 

I know it's "only" a 70bhp 1.2, but I want it to handle as well as possible.

Measure the bar as bar outer diameter is the inner diameter of the hole in the bush, pu bush stiffen up drive but toget real improvements you have to  do wishbones as well 

 

from memory there are three sizes 17.5mm , 19mm and 20mm
