Looking for a micro stereo

I'm looking to buy a new micro stereo and wondered if anyone else has bought one recentely and if they're pleased with theirs.

It has to be able to play MP3's through the cd player, not an ipod connection. I'm not bothered about a tape deck or the new digital radio.

Although I would love something like a Denon it is out of the price range that I want to spend on it, so less than

Dad got a Technics micro system recently, and it definitely belies its size given the audio output it can shove out its two tiny speakers. :cool: :speaker:

Not sure it had MP3, but as a brand for audio quality, I'd consider it highly. :)

I have a Panasonic SA-PM28 micro system with a five disc CD changer (with MP3 playback capability) and 140W RMS power which I purchased about 2 years ago. It is a great system which due to the bi-amp (one amplifier for low frequency and another one for high frequency sound) can allow very high power outputs per channel with minimal sound distortion even at extreme volumes :cool: .

I have a Sony CD-NET 5 - been superseeded but there are some out there in Tesco - at your price.

Can't recomend it highly enough.
