Surely if you wanted the security features then it would have to be professionally installed and certified?

I got the unit as a stand-alone, self install some years ago. In my last car it was set up to monitor the vehicle between set times and SMS my mobile if the vehicle moved. It also monitored the doors and ignition by sensing a drop in voltage again sending a SMS warning.
