Sat Nav Update

Featured Replies

Trying to update my 2015 Octavia 4x4 SEL Sat nav.  I have been to the portal and downloaded  a Zip file 0.7.Zip and it has appeared on the desk top as a brown Zip file. Brilliant so far.  When downloaded by the clicking onto it  it takes about 80 seconds it make an appearance on the desk top in the form of a file in blue.  It is now looking even better until I click onto it and it then appears with all the desk top files as well, why would that be.? This is all being done on a new Imac 27" Fusion drive.  It  begs the question, why can't Skoda, when updates are available just sell or give owners a new SD card with the updates on it to avoid all the hassel .  And further more, why can't I have a Sat Nav system which allows me to view a turn list which allows a view of the journey before you drive it, apparently it is not available, well it is available on my Garmin.  Last winge, has anybody come across a more useless set of manuals for a vehicle.  For example, why is there not a word about how to input a post code ,even my local dealership were unaware that you can input post codes by voice.  Hopefully the new one arriving next month will be better.
