Octavia Mk2 pre-FL non-MFD Aftermarket HU - which CAN bus interface for PDC (rear parking sensors)?

Featured Replies

In a Skoda Octavia MkII (A5) Elegance with Stream MP3 that has also PDC rear parking sensor display. The dash display is the old green one, not maxi-dot, no steering wheel controls:

I would like to buy an aftermarket HU (Kenwood DMX-7017DABS) - apparently the latest and smartest 2-DIN with Android Auto.

I skimmed through the user-installation manual. The HU has rear parking sensor display, "commercial adapter required".

I found these 2 adapters:

 - http://www.connects2.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/CTUSK01 - £160 by itself (add fascia and antenna to get to £200)

 - http://www.connects2.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/CTKSK02 - £60 (including antenna and fascia)

You see, both have the CAN bus interfaces, but does the more expensive one give the rear parking sensor data that the other can't?

Added some info here:

OK the guys at Connects2 told me that none of the above units will retain the PDC!

They said the parking picture that the OEM Stream MP3 shows is an older system of parking sensors that won't work with their infoadaptor.

Anyone who managed to keep the parking sensors ever?
