Rear reflector strip replace

Featured Replies

Hi I have just bought a 2.0l TDI Yeti Outdoor, and it has a broken rear reflector strip, has anyone had to replace this and how easy/dificult is it to do.

I'm blaming you Highlander19 for the slight collision I had yesterday and caused exactly that damage!

Sorry g6zru maybe you can let me know when you get it fixed if it was easy or not.;)

Workshop manual shows them clipped in.
Have you tried prising them out with a trim tool?

if its cracked, break it, it then virtually falls out, the replacement simply spring clips in place  -  dead easy!! ; - ))

Thanks for the replies, Dealership is 100 miles away, so they are sending part by post. So thought I would fit myself, but not sure how they were fixed in.

If they just clip in it should be easy enough. Cheers.

Replacement reflector not arrived yet, but on another note, there are a couple of ding marks above reflector, has anyone used Halfords scratch and stone chip repair kit, and do you think it would do the job to cover these marks, they actually look worse on the photo.591ca71cb025d_HalfordsRepairKit.jpg.877cc4f4ac88571ff0d09930c3b379a4.jpg591ca75fbe141_IMG_05321.thumb.JPG.fbd23f4a578a9c00f770f9747244d113.JPG

Replacement reflector arrived and I managed to break old one off eventually. Went to put new one on and discovered it was the wrong side.

Doh I know I should have checked before taking old one off. You live and learn.

Gave them right part number from the burst one so hopefully correct one will arrive next week.
