Anyone use Google fit with a band

Featured Replies

Just got back Into cycling to work and want to monitor heart rate etc

Google fit is preinstalled on all my Devices

But I'm looking for a cheap band to use it with

Xaimoi band2 looks like it is but wondered if anyone has one to confirm

Budget no more than £40

Please help a fat guy not have a heart attack

There have been some Jawbone and FitBit deals lately for your price bracket.

Check Hotukdeals, Amazon (don't forget Amazon Warehouse too)

These both Google fit compatible???

sorry but of a numpty when it comes to this

Also can I have Bluetooth headphones on with these or is the Bluetooth allocated to the band

No you won't be able to have Bluetooth headphones with any Bluetooth connected device also active. Bluetooth only supports one device at a time.

Google fit, IMO, isn't all that. The dedicated tracker companies have their own apps which are much better and give much more detailed information than Google fit.

They also are better at not draining your mobile battery. Unlike Google fit seemed to when I last used it with my Jawbone 2.

Also does the tracker you have definitely have heart rate monitoring?

Typically you don't see this on devices below £80 when I last looked into getting one with this ability.

Cheaper ones guess based on activity. Even some expensive trackers and smart watches (gear, Apple watch etc) struggle if the sensors sit on dark, hairy or tattooed skin.

Don't have a tracker yet

Only a Google pixel XL in my backpack when cycling that guessing by the speed I'm doing g assumes im cycling

I thought the xiamoi (think that's how you spell it )  band pulse had a heart rate monitor
