I have xenon headlights fitted on my Octavia L&K which don't appear to be auto adjusting to load and driving conditions. They behave just like normal static lights although obviously much brighter. Has anyone come across this issue, or know whether this is just a configuation setting that needs to be changed at the dealer? Having read some of the previous threads, I get the impression that the movement is quite noticeable. Just wondering whether I have a problem on mine.

The Octy 2 system is alot better than earlier cars.

Is there any simple way you can suggest that I can verify the auto adjustment is functioning correcting without popping back to the dealer.

When SWMBO turns her lights on in the mk 1 L K they seem to initially dip before rising to their intended level, if this occuring woul imagine auto adjustment during normal driving is taking place if not noticeable?

On my MK1 L&K when you turn on the ignition the whole lamp assemble moves up and down once. If you open the bonnet, leave the ignition on, engine not running (lights on also), then bounce the front of the car you will hear the stepper motors operating. Under the left hand wheel arch is the sensor pot which is connected to the suspension arm. Hope this helps.
