Inspection In 20 days?

Featured Replies

My 2 year leased Octavia Scout had just had a message pop up on its screen saying it's due for inspection (20days).

The lease was due to end in the first week of June however we have now extended the lease for an extra month as we are expecting our Kodiaq to arrive in July.

The service schedule in the car says service is due for either 30,000 miles or at 3 years.

Do I still need to get the car inspected and if so, how much would it cost

Have you read the service book correctly?

A service is normally required before 20,000 miles or 2 years.

How many miles has the car done?

The car is likely set to 'variable' servicing (up to 2 years or 20,000 miles, various sensors determine when fresh oil is required) so you are looking at £269...

However at your cars age it won't need all of the items covered in the £269 service so I'd book it in for a minor / fixed service at £149.

All the lease company will want to see is a Skoda stamp in the service book or an invoice to show the car has been serviced in the two years you've had it.
