No audio on multi media system

Featured Replies

I am seeing if anyone has had similar problems with their multimedia system.

I brought a Octavia Estate 2 months ago which was 2 months out of warranty. One of the reasons i brought the car was the upgraded multimedia system. All was running fine and no a sign off any problems until the last week or so. All of a sudden with no warning, the audio suddenly stopped coming on and then it would come on and off when if fancied. I am confident that it is not a wiring fault and convinced it is some sort of bug on the system. All the other features seemed fine it purely the audio for everything.

I went to a dealer and was told that i was looking at almost £3000 for a new system as it was not covered under warranty. This figure seems ridiculous expense from a car that is just over 3 years old. What are your thoughts and recommendations?

3k , Tell me about it. I got from car dealer. It worked perfectly fine for almost 2 months so if i am honest i dont think they would have known about it. The 6 month warrenty given does not cover multimedia system which is another kick in the teeth. I am taking it to another skoda dealership next week for a 2nd opinion.
