Allot centre cap removal

Featured Replies

Anyone got the best method for centre cap removal?

Knock them off from behind when the wheels are off, or prise off carefully from the front causing no damage if the wheels are on.

Take the wheel off, knock the centre cap out from behind

Cheers mate:biggrin:

If you don't care about the current caps and are changing them anyway do what I did and just pry behind the 'sticker' of the front of the cap (mind the actual alloys) and bend it out towards you a bit so it's like half stuck and half bent up, from there you've got enough play to just yank them off.

I've used a Stanley blade and thin screw driver once I got it started with the blade.

but really like everyone says, the wheel needs to come off and tapped out from behind.

Use a stick of hot glue, melted a little, press against cap, allow to set. Go round all the wheels, start again, pulling off caps the peel off glue again.

Of course, if you are removing them to bin, even easier. Drill or screw a screw part way in to them and pull with pliers!
