Reverse lights not working

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new to the forum and to skoda ownership. I have just picked up an odb11 dongle  and have used it to clear an airbag fault after it unplugged by mistake. I've then used it to do some coding last night and somewhere along the line my reverse lights are not coming on when I go onto reverse.

The only thing I've altered that would be at all related would be dipping mirror on reverse. I completed the coding and had the option in the car menu but it didn't do anything when I turned it on.  it was at that point I noticed the lights weren't coming on either, I reversed all the changed I'd done for that mod and they still don't work.

I've gone into the central electric module and found the reverse lights and they still appear to be programmed for reverse lights and when I switched them to be permanently on they came on so I know there is power running to them yet they don't work.

I have the dsg gearbox as well btw.

List of mods I've done are:

Auto lock

HBA Lights

Road sign recognition

Number of flashes on Lane change indicators

Any help would be much appreciated.

What software have you used to effect your changes?.

Welcome to Briskoda by the way.

I was using the obdeleven app on my phone.

I've had another go at it tonight and have managed to sort it, I started undoing everything I'd altered then when I started to undo the high beam assist I'd noticed ive miss interpreted an instruction and coded a byte wrong, changed it back to default and it worked so then changed it to the correct figure and it all works.

I had changed byte 2 to 03 when I should have changed to 19.
