amber Heating Light flashing

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, Need a bit off advice..

was drive my 2009 octavia 1.9tdi BXE 105bhp yesterday and noticed the amber heating light was flashing, tried to turn engine on and off to reset, when pulling off again i noticed it was down on power in first gear but fine in the rest, heating light came on flashing again, when i got home i parked up and turned engine off and heard a weird buzzing noise from under bonnet, had a look and seen it was coming from the vacuum control unit, small black box with about 6 vacuum pipes coming from it.. i tapped the box and it stopped making noise,

plugged it into my autel MD802 and fault code (00551 throttle position sensor) tried to google it but it was the code 00551 is related to catalytic converter..

I suspect that i have 2 different problems here, so any help would be really greatly appreciated as i have a long journey tomorrow with a tralior and dont want it to go into limp mode
