Polo GTI - stolen!

Featured Replies

Am I allowed to start a thread just to have a moan? I hope so. Until late Friday night I was the proud keeper of a Polo GTI. That was until I looked out of the window to see it backing out of the driveway at midnight after thieves gained entry to our house and stole the keys. Police were contacted within 2 minutes of the theft, but hasn't shown up on ANPR yet. The car was a lease so being realistic about this they've stolen essentially a hire car - the really scary aspect for me and my family is the entry into the house. Locks have all been changed, and currently exploring options for a decent security system.

Very sorry to hear that, Charlie. Scummy bar stewards - as you say, a car is ultimately just a lump of metal, but violating someone's property is the really horrible part.

Police just called with update a few minutes ago. My car has been used in several other crimes since Friday night...

Horrible, I really feel for you. Any ideas how they got in? I'm in the process of beefing up my home security, there's too much of this kinda thing going on these days.

Might not strictly be legal.

sympathies for the OP, total **** to have some scumbag do that.

Tempting indeed! It's a shame when one buys a new car they need to consider their home security.
