Central Locking Problems

Featured Replies

I have a automatic Fabia 2009 which has started to lock the doors automatically. It can be while driving, or if someone gets out of one of the passenger doors it will automatically lock on shutting. There appears to be no reason for the spontaneous locking, sometimes it will lock and then unlock by itself. If any on e has any ideas I would be grateful. Incidentally my inspection sign warning keeps coming on, I have had it serviced in the last few months and although they have always reset it in the past they are having problems resetting it this time as it clears and then comes on again after about 400 miles.   Many thanks

They can be set to lock after driving off I believe. Sounds like thats either set or is accidentally tripping this function off for some reason. Might be corroded terminals on the module that runs this system. Again with the service warning, might be a fault in the system that counts the mileage and sets it off. Is it the maxi-dot or standard system, as they may have different "Common" faults.
