Does Paypal still take a few pennies out from your card before the account is set up?

IIRC this took about 4 days last time which wouldn’t help me much tbh, as I want to buy something today which requires immediate payment.

When you setup a bank account paypal make a small (very small) deposit.

When you setup a Credit Card paypal put a small transaction through taking money from you, however when you make your 1st transaction that amount is added to your balance, so in theory you are no worse off.

In short Walkie yes they still do it and yes it takes a few days to setup. Why are you setting it up again anyway or are you doing it under one of your 'other identities'.
