I'm looking at buying a 2016 1.6 tdi registered in the July.  Does anyone know if the emissions fix will have been applied at the factory?  (I don't have access to the VIN yet to check if it's been applied by the dealer). I'm hoping given VAG have known about it for a while before they might have applied a more stable engine mod at the factory.

 

My my concern is the news I'm hearing about how the fix ruined the 1.6 tdi, is this overstated in the press?  Any owners out there of a similar aged Octy that can vouch either way?

i got the 1.6 tdi 110hp 2016 mod registered late 2015 and this engine was not on the emission fix list.

this engine is the 110hp eu6 engine.

i have not heard anything about any fix applyed to these engines at all and no problems concerning this.

As above a 2016 was not on the list of emissions fix. My June 2014 1.6 was also not on the list.

2013 was also not on any list if you mena Dieselgate?

My May 2015 1.6 TDI also it not on affected list, checked by VIN on Skoda webpage.

Anything in particular to pay attention to on test drive? Research so far highlights seats and peddle position.

Find a road in the area that has the worst surface you can find, cobble surfaces would be good. Listen out for any booming noise or perceived ear pressure.
