Advice needed guys before I go insane

Featured Replies

Firstly Hi all, new to the forums.

I've had my Octavia vrs now for 5 months to which I've enjoyed every minute...until the this last month. The car developed a sound at the o/s front to which I can only describe as a playing card caught in a spoke.

Car went in under warranty, the conclusion off my dealer (white dove, cardiff) was manufacturing defective wheel bearings. So had them both changed.

So I gets the car back yesterday and the noise is still there! Now, I noticed that the sound starts to come over 25 mph, and if put the car into neutral, the sound disappears? So this as got me thinking it's nothing to do with the bearings in the first place? Any suggestions would be great. The noise is not exactly loud, but I know it's there.

Jesus mate, you've been through the mill haven't you. I hope mine doesn't escalate to this. My sound is more of a playing card flapping against a spoke rather than a grating noise though

Chances are yours isn't like mime but it might just gives you a direction of which way to go.

Hope you get yours sorted, don't give up and don't get fobbed of.
