New VRS - Component Protection Active

Featured Replies

Well I've driven only 271 miles in my new FL VRS and loved every mile, however today the below message popped up on the infotainment screen.  It cleared itself after 20 minutes and seems ok again now ... confused.

Will have to keep an eye on it and mention it to the dealer maybe get it checked out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

 Cheers

Actually, when I had my car on the dealer once, I scanned it after it came back and it had logged a component protection error while there.

...was surprised they did not clean it, but, to be on topic, it is apparently possible to get those even with a legitimate system.

Ok so maybe just a glitch somewhere, I'll keep a check on this and if it happens again I'll get it checked under warranty. All seems ok at the moment. Thanks for the reply :)

I've had my 2016 VRS since February, and get this message every so often. It goes off after a few minutes though; not really sure what it means.

Nothing has been changed on the car.

Happened to me as well. Once was cleaning the dash I think I pressed many buttons together while cleaning and then the message appeared! When turned on the ignition it went away!

Bug on firmware.  Make sure you are running 0478 on your Bolero or Amunsden system.
