Black magic or black pack mirror cap?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

This morning someone must have been in a rush to go and vote and managed to drive past me at speed on the wrong side of the road and knock the drivers side wing mirror of my 2014 Black magic estate VRS. The cover/cap came off but was in one piece apart from a small 'chip'  which should be hidden when back in place but the cap doesn't seem to want to clip back on and stay on and it looks like a little 'hook' in the middle has been broken off the cap also. I can't see any damage to the fixings of the actual structure of the mirror, so hoping it is 'just' the cap.

Question is, can you get these caps pre-painted and if so as the car is black magic pearlescent with black pack - so the mirror cover is black magic metallic?

There is a sticker on the cover that says

19468 F9R

D6903136F9R

SK 37 Gehause Re.

black magic met.

Hence i'm hoping that i can buy this as a coloured part? Anyone know/brought these as the ones i've located so far seem like unpainted black plastic.

Thanks

I've had to replace twice on my MK2. Needed painting.

 thats gutting.

I've found a part code for both sides from an eBay sale... 5E0072530B it looks right and although the advert says black metallic, a google search doesn't 100% clarify it.

Cheers but I just looked a little closer as couldn't see why it won't clip back and the actual mirror back part is damaged, the outside clip is snapped off . Its company car so they'd pay for it, but its very frustrating all the same as its probably costly to replace and i guess skoda will have to do it - probably need the cover also.
