A good wax on wax off.

Featured Replies

Hi all

Never really posted any good photos of my car before, so here are a couple taken today. Just fitted a brand new rear wheel, as the old one was slightly buckled and impossible to balance perfectly. Gave the car a proper going over with a clay bar at 6.00am this morning before the sun came up. Then a good waxing to get that smooth shine. Going to get around to the engine bay next.

Though you do need to sort out that rust number plate screw!

Ah not rust my friend, but they are security screws, one silver and one more of a copper colour. Silver to match the white part of the number plate and copper to try to blend in with the black part. They only come in silver and copper colour. You can only get these screws undone with a special key. I could see how you were fooled though.

Looking at the car plate again Baileydog, you have a point, it does look too much like rust. Just going to stick the other silver one in it's place, even if it does not blend in with the black letters.

Or you could get a black Sharpie* and colour it.

*Other indelible marker pens are available.

That's an idea, might try just using a Sharpie on the edge where it covers the black letter. Think I have one somewhere.

You could do the other half with Tippex. :D

That's a nice job matey. Sounds biased I know but I really feel race blue is the best colour. You know what I find on here and it really annoys me? This picture indicates (unless I'm mistaken) that you have the luxury of space to do this like a lot of people?

Is this a private car park? I'd love to be able to clean my car where I live and even purchased a Nilfisk but there is literally no room now because it's so busy. Oh well :/

Yes it's a private car park, so lots of space. I on the other hand would kill for a garage. I agree with you, I do think that Race Blue is the best colour, but then I am a little biased as well I suppose.
