Can I switch off the charger port?

Featured Replies

Planning to add a genuine TPMS and it plugs into the charger port. In my other cars, the port switches off when the ignition is off. In the Octavia, it remains on. Will lead to a battery discharge, so was wondering what options I have?

Sorry guys, found what I was looking for, but cant delete a thread.

You want my thread for switched 12v socket:

I have just installed always-on dashcam to the other line today, the 12v socket still works great: off when key is off, on when key switches to on position.

Nice one. So now you have switched 12v sockets and a switched dashcam hardwired in.

Easy wasn't it :)

Thanks to you :-)

Removing the A pillar trip was scary. Needed a huge amount of force. Also, someone had said that the guy who designed the location of the fusebox needs to be shot. I agree.
