Pre-FL Octavia 1Z lighting changes

Hi,

I got my copy of VCDS today. I'm an engineer but I've never worked on a CAN-bus car before so I'm progressing gingerly to try to lower the chances of breaking something.

There are two changes I would like to make to my car initially but I can't work out how to do either one having gone through lots of the options:

1) Disable the sidelights cold testing as it's throwing alarms with my LED bulbs (these go away when the sidelights are turned on) or change the sidelight type to LED.

2) Disable the accursed convenience indicator feature. I'd really like to stop the car flashing 3 times every time I accidentally catch the indicator stalk. I found a video that said to change a drop down adaptation option in the central electronics module but when I try it, the list of options I receive is much shorter than the one shown in the vieo and the option it says to change is missing.

Are these things possible on a pre-FL?
