Hi all, 

never posted before, but here goes I own a 2007 Octavia vrs diesel, a couple of times recently the exhaust warning light came but soon went after, however on my way to work this morning the coil light started flashing along loss of power ! ( I'm guessing this is limp home mode?) 

 

Now as relatively new Skoda owner, am I correct in thinking this is a DPF issue ? 

If not what would it be ?

 

finally can anyone recommend a mechanic or garage in the Bognor Regis area to remedy this fault

Sounds like limp mode maybe overboost issue sticking VNT but it's just a guess..... you need a fault scan and fault codes to be able to have some tailored suggestions rather than just endless possibilities and guesses.
