has anyone experienced this?

 

I have black marks from the front edge (nearest pillars) of the door seals which leads to light black marks running down my doors? seals are in good condition so I wouldn't have thought it's them degrading.

 

might get some gummi pfledge (spelling?) see if that solves it

Those seals are slightly porous and can collect dirt over time. Give them a good scrub with a toothbrush and see if it improves things.
