Oil & Filter Service @ Skoda ?

Featured Replies

Evening

Was thinking of putting the car in for a Oil & Filter change at my local Skoda

Anyone know what oil they use ?

The car is the vRS model 2013

5w 30

or

5w 40 FS VW502 00

& what sort of costs?

Normally it would be 5W 30 FS Long Life VW504 00 and maybe £139 for a Minor Service.

Some might do just an oil and filter change.

Do you need to go to Skoda, and if you do but are doing Fixed Servicing do you maybe want to ask for 5w 40 FS to VW502 00.

Some will say you can not get that though and it must be Long Life and possibly the Quantum 5W 30 FS LL they have.

Are you trying to keep a Warranty Valid or can you not just do an Oil change yourself,

New Sump Plug or take it out the dipstick tube with a pump and then remove the filter, replace and refill.

Taking care of the warning in 'Lucifers Ultimate Guide' on the Chain Tensioner when doing oil changes, pinned in this section.
