Leon seats fitted

Featured Replies

After a long search I managed to find a set of Leon seats at a breakers yard in Dewsbury.  I haven't cleaned them at all, that's how they were when I picked them up so apologies to all the detailers on here.  I'll give them a good clean at some point.

Anyway, the rears went in fine and the kids have been using them today.  The eldest reckons that they are more comfy as she's in the middle and that the vRS leather was a tad hard. She's also happy as the cloth is kinder to legs in shorts in this hot weather.

The fronts had given me some sleepless nights as I was concerned about the airbag plugs.  In the end, they were identical to the Octavia plugs so the fronts took about 20 mins to fit from start to finish.

Initial impressions are that I'll be very happy with them.  They are so much nicer than the vRS seats and hold the driver in place a lot better.  They are a bit firmer and so far I reckon it's a good move.  Another plus is that the lumbar support works too!

They aren't perfect by any means but for what I paid for them I'm extremely pleased.  No doubt they'll come up even better after a VAX treatment but in the end it's a family car and the kids make sure that any car I have develops that 'Lived in' look.

edit : There must have been something on the lens as it appears that there are some stains.  They aren't there as far as I can see.  Also, the driver's bolster looks worse than it is in the pics.  There's little or no wear at all on the drivers seat which is why I went for this set.  I also didn't want the FR logo and these are far more subtle.  Same seats but no logo.

Look really smart though personally I never had any issues with my original vRS leather seats and found them very comfortable and easy to maintain.

Thanks.  I didn't really get on with the vRS seats, I found them too wide for me and I rattled around in them.:D

Looking good. I bought a cupra K1 interior but never fitted the rears as I didn't think there'd fit, looks like I was wrong, best get the, out of the loft & fitted.

I looked at the K1 Cupra interior as well as these.  In the end, the practicalities of family life meant that the hard shell at the rear of the seat & no pocket for kids stuff ruled them out. If it was purely my choice I'd have gone with seats like yours.

The rear base isn't a perfect fit but the backs went in fine & fold in exactly the same way as the Octavia seats.
