Spent the day fitting LED DRL's to my Yeti. A bit fiddly but used a 6" long hose to get in and remove the bulb and the same when refitting the LED bulb.

Tried it first but showing fault on dashboard so fitted resistors and now working fine. See Pic - I cut some wire (clothes hanger) to hols the resistors away from the cables etc as they get very hot.

You can figure it out easily. 

A w5w bulb is a 5w bulb so. 

R=V/I

P=V*I

I will assume the led consumes 1w so 4w are left

I=4/12

I=0.33 amps

R=12/0.33

So you need a 35 Ω resistor in parallel with the led. 

And everything should be fine. 

P=V^2/R

P=4w 

So you need a 5w resistor and you will be fine
