FIATS are dirt cheap, and they go wrong less often than VAG products in my experience.

 

In addition, my 60 bhp Punto would do the weekend 457 mile commute in under 7 hours no trouble.

I bet the recovery driver was knackered though. 

To be fair, they came and collected it on Tuesday as they said, and they've returned it today, all fixed (or so it seems).

 

Couldn't have asked for more really....
