Clutch Problem?

Featured Replies

I've a 2008 Octavia VRS that's done 44K miles since new. Earlier, i stalled it from standstill (whilst pulling out of a junction). On re-starting the engine and pulling away in first gear, i noticed that the clutch pedal had to be let out much further than usual before 1st gear would engage. The next three of four gear changes were similar but then things settled down again, and for the rest of the journey the clutch pedal engaged gears at the normal biting point. Does this indicate a problem with the clutch - or maybe just some quirk related to having stalled the engine?
