Hi, i have an octavia vrs diesel 2011 and i am thinking of servicing it myself. I was wandering if anyone can tell me how to reset the computer service interval or would i need to buy a plug in gadet to do this? Thankyou for any information!

Have you got maxidot? It can be done from within the maxidot menu. If not then presume via VCDS.

I am sorry, i dont know. how would i find out.

My dash display does not look like that. So what do i need please!

If you don't have maxidot you can still do it using the right hand twiddle knob on the dashboard display. It's a turn and press job but it is some time since I did mine (accidentally when looking at other functions) so experiment and you will find it.

I think i have come across that one (spanner next to mileage), so how do i reset it please!

Thinks it's done with the ignition on, or on then turn  off. It's either turn right or left and hold or press and hold.

 

If it goes out turn ignition on to see if it reappears
