Is the Amundsen+ DAB? My manual says it is but I cant access it on my head unit?

No, if it was DAB then the DAB choice would be there. Not all are DAB enabled, and it would appear yours isn't.

Is it possible to get it enabled? Would it just be a plug in at the rear? 

It's hardware dependant. Your unit won't have the DAB radio board inside it so you can't make DAB happen without adding the relevant hardware, recoding the software to enable the hardware change, and then making it all work in the car by adding a DAB antenna and possibly recoding the car to suit. I have an Amundsen + DAB radio board for sale if you want to have a go?

What is the board? A straight forward plug and play or is it more technical than that? 

Essentially, I think it's a non starter really...

Easiest solution would be sell your existing Amundsen + and buy one with ready updated maps and with DAB included.

Yeah I think your right, would of thought the tech Monte Carlo would have come with dab though. Plus thmmwith the manual saying it does kind of ****es me off.
