Intermittent Engine juddering. Help please!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wanted to get your ideas on an issue that my fabia 1.2 htp 2009, is having at the moment

I was driving the car yesterday and slowed down as was approaching a roundabout. Then went to set off again and the car was like it was in limp mode. It was just juddering and when I tried to drive it felt like I was in 4th and trying to set off. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on and it was fine and I just drove it for the rest of the day about 30 miles and all seems fine. My misses said she pulled up to some traffic lights before it was serviced and it was juddering. She just thought her foot wasn't on the clutch properly but obvs not. Any ideas :/. The car has been recently serviced with spark plugs changed.

Could be a number of things pal, Any warning lights on? Is it doing it on idle?

Happened to me recently but I knew the a my water pump was on its way out when the EPC light came on.

If it was juddering before the spark plug change rule that out, Could be anything from your water pump, coil pack, EGR valve.

@Mickmartin was strange as no warning lights came on

Its been driving fine since but want to fix anything it could be to avoid it happening again

I had a mechanic take a look and the car was flagging two codes, pointing to the 02 sensor. He has cleared the codes and wants to see if the problem happens again or not and if so re check the codes and if the 02 sensor pops up again then look to change that.
