You can buy those covers which power from the 12v socket, not sure if they are any good but worth a try. There is a guide on here somewhere about retrofitting heated seats but it involves taking lots of the dash apart and some knowledge of electrics. Not to mention the seats having to be dismantled to installed the heating elements. I was looking to fit the heating elements to my car seen as it had heated seats out of factory but someone has replaced the seats at some point with non heated ones. I gave up in the end trying to find the elements to fit to my seats as they were hard to find and expensive. Best bet is something aftermarket i think if yours doesn't even have the electrics as that would be the worst part to do.

Yes it can be done you could, however it may be simpler to change the seats and loom from an Elegance model as that would save the hassle of element removal. Sell the VRS seats on and job done.

Again, it can be done yeah, I retrofitted them into my VRS.

I bought the seats from an elegance and cut them open to use the heating elements and modules. I bought the wiring harness from Kufatec and the switches from eBay, was easy enough really.

I believe the guide mentioned earlier was wrote by me also.

Perfect thanks guys.. gives me some things to read up. .

Is it easy enough to get the seat covers off?

Not easy no, by far the worst part of the job

Mine has heated seats from factory with the original VRS cloth.
Might be worth keeping an eye out for a VRS that has been written off with this optional extra.
