I Just bought that kit and it works fine. It will work with 409 but you wont be able to access any control modules, or on my car at least. When using 311 it all works hunky dory. I Got an error code though

Anyone know what 17911- Load signal from alternator term. DF: Implausiable signal means?

Looks gobbledegook to me. All I want to do is set the xenons, turn off fault codes and reprogram the C. locking

You wont be able to access all of them anyway, such as automatic transmission is an obvious one.

As long as I can adjust the xenons and the c locking and turn off any engine management light that appears!!

Which software do I download for USB connector to OBD II ?

I hav e got a fully functioning cable, maybe (Waits for heckling and ritual stoning) a couple of us should pitch in to buy the software.

My cable is off my Triumph (motorcycle, not car type thingummy) , I use it to tweak / remap the bike, works perfecto on vag-com shareware but won't let me alter anything (which is fair enough as it's shareware).

just a lot of cash to spend so I can make my alarm go "peep" when it arms / disarms, and get my central locking to unlock when the key is removed :D

VAG-COM generates a unique software Serial Number on each computer where it is installed. In order to to Activate VAG-COM, you must provide the Serial Number that VAG-COM shows on the computer on which you intend to use it!. You will find the serial number on the "About" screen of the program.

That would work actually, I have two P4 2.8ghz laptops here that are for pool use ........ hmmmmm, I forsee a cunning plan.

Your interface is USB, the ad says it supports 409.1, so I would try top right first. Good luck...

OK. Done ALL that downloaded on the lap top. Click options > Test. > Error window--- "Port not recognised"

Checked that the usb/OBD2 connector is configured correctly...Yes it is !! Any ideas guys??
