Trying to work out what is the maximum tyre sizes you could fit to the standard alloy rims. On the 18" wheels I have 225/40/R18 tyres which is fine, but I don't know how much wider/higher you could fit on these rims, are they 8J ?, perhaps someone knows. The same question could be asked of the 17" wheels which are fitted with 225/45/R17 tyres as standard.

As a footnote, I noticed that on the 17" wheels Skoda have fitted Bridgestone and on 18" they have fitted Continental (why is that, maybe that's another thread altogether!).

At a guess 225 35 19, or 225 30 20 :eek:

I've seen also Dunlops fitted to 17" rims. 18" rims were with continental sportcontact 2.
