Fault codes

Hi,

Can someone give me the skinny on the highlighted section of this fault code report, the rest I know about.

Symptoms are engine management and ASR warning lights on, the former I assume to be the result of the latter.

Wife took crummy photo, what can I say !

Just a front ASR sensor gone duff I'm hoping ?

Thanks.

Addendum: brake light traced to switch so now just engine light on.

Temp gauge has been intermittent for a long time, sometimes reading sometimes not, could it be that the sensor has finally given up altogether. It's still the original black one ?

The skinny?

It says no fault code found. Did you highlight the wrong section?!

Thanks muchly for the offer VrsMule but I'm in France and I've already ordered one anyway.

Re the fault codes you're right vrsTom, I was being fooled by the hand brake light warning which was dear OH (bless her) initially told me came on at the same time as the engine light but under interrogation recanted so in fact the engine light is all I have.

I've checked the brake lights which I learnt from a previous MKIV golf puts it on (truly bizarre and a potential rogues charter for the unwary) but although one was in fact out it wasn't that.

The car is driving  normally otherwise and according to the codes anyway that only really leaves the sensor so unless somebody has some other relatively non invasive opinions or suggestions as to what else I should check I guess I'll wait until I've received and replaced that before investigating any further.

Update:

Took the car for a blast yesterday and initially the engine light remained on and the temperature gauge didn't move from rest.

Parked and came back maybe an hour later to find the light off and the gauge immediately registering the residual temperature rising to normal mid scale as I drove so it does look to be nothing more than the sensor but why its suddenly decided to trigger the engine warning light when it never has in the past is a mystery.

I'll report again when I've replaced the sensor.
