Have been looking for some LED PY21 indicator bulbs for the rear of my car however don't know which are the best to go for. I have previously bought some LED reverse light bulbs which were absolute rubbish and were quite expensive hence why I am concerned spending £25 on a pair which could be no good.

Has anyone got any which are the same brightness as the filament type?

I just want the nice crisp on off you get with LEDs as opposed to the fade that filaments produce

I've got Osram LED side lights, and they're pretty good  

I had those in the clear type for reverse lights and they were very dim, despite the positive reviews

@clarendon462  Other than them being possibly crisper in the flash state variation, LED indicators offer no advantage over incandescent, not least because you'll need a series ballast with them to maintain a legal flash rate.

Well thats what im trying to achieve. I though some of them come with built in resistors to stop them flashing too quickly
