Good morning, I've been having issues with my drivers door lock for a while.... sometimes it wouldn't unlock and I had to bang my hand around the door handle to get it to open

Ive been and got a new genuine one from TPS yesterday and I've installed it easy job so I thought.....

my problem is when I lock the car and unlock it the door won't open completely  , it's open but on the last latch if you know what I mean so I have to bang it still?? Have I missed something? Do I need to adjust the latch on the B pillar? Have I under tightened or over tightened something?? Other that that it all works fine

The only real adjustment for the mechanism

is where the cable comes through to the handle inside with the grooved portion the little toggle clicks in to. Sounds like it may need adjusting by a thread or 2 to give full opening action. Be careful when altering this and test before closing the door. I ended up deadlocked with the door car on and door closed !!
