ENGINE OIL FOR AFTER 100K KM

Featured Replies

Hello,

Car has the CAXA engine (1.4 TSI) from new was using 05W-30 super synthetic and new oil in every 10000 km.

Now it reached 107000, should start using 05W-40 for better protection generally?

In these engines in what KM should the cam-chain, tensioner etc should be re-newed by experience or...reality?

What does SKODA indicate for that?

Really hasn't started yet to hear that "known sound" from chain yet, just only 2-3 times did but was after the car being off for at least 3-4 days and assume it was due to oil pressure not established as it was well dry and oil sat down..

Thanks for your thoughts!..
