FL vRS key fob

Featured Replies

Can anyone who has taken delivery of their new FL vRS please advise whether the key fob came with a chrome tip or was it all black plastic, the same as the MK3. Only asking this as I replaced my key fob with a chrome tip in 2014 and finding it difficult to find the part on eBay. as I would like to do the same after taking delivery of my FL vRS in a couple of weeks time. Thanks

Black tip is what's fitted as OEM.

I got mine from SuperSkoda this time. Bit more expensive but, meh. Got the vRS one this time, just because.

I'm sticking with the black. It matches the black pack.

Chrome tip adds a much nicer feel to the key fob imo. Feels weightier too in a good way.

Yeah that's half the attraction for me. Adds a nice weight to the key.

Each to their own of course but if I hadn't read this thread it would never have occurred to me that an alternative was available or needed.

Apologies for coming back to this seven years later, but I’m keen on getting this from SuperSkoda (Now Kopacek)!

I see you’re still active on here @SC03OTT so just wondered if it broke a month later, etc? Assume you’ve long since sold the car.

still have the car. Metal tip is still alive and well on the key 😊
