How do I replace passenger manual wing mirror on my 2010 Fabia 11?

Featured Replies

The mirror only responds in 1 direction, and reverts after driving a bit.  It seems that one or more of the cables aren't working or are broken. I'm thinking I should replace the whole assembly, but don't know how to get at it. Help would be much appreciated!

(The mirror is not heated).

Usually, you will need to remove the plastic cover on the inside of the door to gain access to the screws/bolts that retain the mirror. They then can be removed to replace..

If you are ok with this, let me know, otherwise I will pm you with detailed instructions from the Haynes manual.

Hi

I have same problem.

Can you please pm me instructions how to remove plastic cover on the inside door?

Regards

Without checking further, (Quick response) You generally prise them off, taking care not to break their retaining lugs. Pry tools are the best bet as you may scratch or damage things with screwdrivers but it will usually pop off.

I can look into this further if needed but my car is no longer in use due to ULEZ, so is going to be sold but is parked up off road and I'd need to go to it or search through the Haynes manual to be fully sure of this action.

Just have a look and if there are no small caps that cover screw fixings, it will almost certainly be the pop on/off type fitting

Not sure if it will be easy to prise off with the door trim on..................hence official procedure tells you to remove door trim first.
