after reading about this subject on Briskoda,can anybody tell me please?. When the steering lock is on,should the steering wheel be horizontal?.Can the steering wheel be moved on the splines mechanically?

Also I am puzzled by a comment that if you move the steering wheel on its spline,the sensor will always be trying to correct for this?. Surely moving the wheel ,allowing it to be horizontal is OK. Because the steering shaft has not moved in relation the sensor?.Any Comments please?

Mine isn't horizontal when it's locked. Steering wheel position on splines will not affect sensor.

@AndyPandy - As @TMB says, with the note that the steering lock can be set with one turn of lock on either side of straight ahead (or possibly every half turn, depending on the design of the lock collar).
