Throttle body fault

Afternoon all, new member here so be gentle!

I've really enjoyed browsing the forum, and clearly there are plenty of Yeti fans out there.

A few weeks ago, my engine warning light came on on our 12 plate Yeti 2.0 4x4. I took it to a local Skoda specialist who diagnosed a fault with the Throttle Body Assembly. Replacement was quoted at £350 including parts, but I seem to remember reading a thread where a member had cleaned the gunk out and replaced a gasket for less than a fiver. I'm no mechanic, but I'm happy to have a go at before shelling out big bucks.

The problem is, I can't seem to find the thread (I've tried lots of search terms!). It was a fairly old thread as the pictures that the member had uploaded were all dead links....

Can anyone help with either the old thread, or can point me in the direction of a how too?

Apologies for starting a new thread if this has been answered elsewhere.

Cheers

Daz

Thanks for the reply Ken. How would I know if it had the fix? Are there any indicators at all? I purchased the car secondhand so no warranty unfortunately...

This looks the same as your problem and it was covered if you have had the fix.

You can check on the link below if it's had the fix.
